ABOUT

Patricia Chute has been creating art in various forms throughout her life. In 2023, she made the decision to move from St.Petersburg, FL to Littleton, CO.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, her parents recognizing her creative abilities,  encouraged her desire to pursue a career in art. In the beginning her passion was the business of art, becoming a successful creative design director, and later, up to present day, an accomplished professional fine artist.

After studying and mastering the intricacies of watercolor she opened a teaching studio in the historic Snell Arcade in downtown St. Petersburg, where she developed a following through both private and group workshop instruction, exhibiting in galleries and shows, and involving herself in the local community.  With her ability to capture the essence of her subjects she became known for her portraits in watercolor. She was commissioned to paint the Concertmaster for the Florida Orchestra, the owners of Tampa Bay Magazine, and produced multiple paintings for the US Department of Veteran's Affairs. During this period she also earned her signature membership in the Florida Watercolor Society and was awarded the Professional Development Grant in Pinellas County.

Believing that art is a life long discipline, and there will always be more to learn, she switched mediums and began painting in acrylics and mixed media on canvas where she continues to explore various styles of expression, with an emphasis on large scale abstracts.

Patricia continues to participate in gallery shows, national juried exhibitions and invitationals. Her paintings are housed in numerous private collections and corporations in cities across the country. Her collectors include business owners, CEOs, and Orlando celebrities.
